MDBC was incorporated in October 1992 as a non-profit organisation, with the aim of assisting Malaysian and Danish businessmen in their efforts to promote trade, services and investments between Malaysia and Denmark.The Council provides a forum for discussing and exchanging views on business conditions and issues, both domestic and international, affecting Malaysian and Danish firms and personnel.
MDBC has its own Secretariat, located at the premises of the Embassy of Denmark, so that a close link to the Embassy can be maintained for the benefit of the Council and its members. BOARD MEMBERSMDBC board members are:

Contact information and advisory centre for businessmen, both locally based and visiting from overseas.
Liaison with Malaysian and Danish Government agencies, the latter through the Embassy of Denmark in Kuala Lumpur on matters affecting the interests of MDBC members.
To promote and organise meetings, conferences, lectures and other activities which will meet the objectives of the Council.
Cooperation with other commercial organisations in Malaysia.
MEMBERSHIP
The Malaysian Danish Business Council welcomes members to three categories:
A. Corporate membership Open to any firm or company which has Danish or Malaysian equity interest, or to any company, association, society or any other organisation which has interest in doing business with Malaysia or Denmark. Corporate members shall be eligible to vote at meetings. Each corporate member is entitled to appoint a representative.
1) Membership fee: Company with more than 25 employees - RM750 annual fee.2) Membership fee: Company with less than 25 employees - RM350 annual fee for the 1st year and thereafter RM750 annual fee.B. Individual membership Open to any individual who is a Danish or Malaysian citizen or permanent resident of Denmark or Malaysia , or anyone the Board may deem fit to be admitted as a member. Individual members shall be eligible to vote at meetings.
Membership fee: RM250 annual fee.
C. Honorary membership By invitation from the Board of Directors to persons of distinguished standings. Honorary members shall not be eligible to vote at meetings or hold any elected office of the Council.
